Volunteer Opportunity. Finance & Administrative Assistant
We invite passionate and skilled individuals to join us as a Volunteer Finance & Administrative Assistant. This role is ideal for those with a background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives that impact young lives while building valuable professional skills in a supportive environment.
Role Responsibilities
Working under the Head of Finance and Administration, the assistant will:
- Manage bookkeeping and accounting, ensuring timely and accurate financial reports.
- Support procurement processes and asset management.
- Assist in preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and processing payment requests.
- Coordinate office operations, including maintaining project and office inventory.
- Draft project reports and assist with external evaluations.
- Oversee logistics and compliance with donor guidelines.
Key Qualifications.
Volunteer Finance & Administrative Assistant
- Educational Background. University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration.
- Experience. Minimum of two years in a similar role, ideally with NGO/INGO experience.
- Skills. Â Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, strong written and verbal communication, time management, attention to detail, and team-building abilities.
- Attributes. Goal-oriented, adaptable, disciplined, and eager to learn.
What We Offer
While this is a voluntary role, Mydia-tz provides a monthly communication allowance as per our policy. This part-time role is office-based, providing a valuable chance to gain hands-on experience in finance and administration while contributing to impactful change.
Our Preferred Candidate
Preference will be given to applicants with finance and administration skills, particularly those residing in Kasulu town, Kigoma Region. We also encourage qualified young women and people with disabilities to apply.
Note: Mydia-tz is a small organization. Our budget constraints limit us to a communication allowance for volunteers unless they work on funded projects.
