Position: Askari Mgambo (Local Militia)

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Contract Duration: Three months
Salary: Tshs 10,000/day (approximately Tshs 300,000/month)

General Requirements

  • Citizenship: Tanzanian
  • Education: Completed Form Four or Six
  • Identification: Must have a National ID or NIDA number
  • Language: Fluent in Kiswahili and English
  • Health: Physically and mentally fit, confirmed by a government doctor
  • Drug History: No history of drug abuse
  • Criminal Record: No criminal record
  • Training: Must have undergone JKT or militia training
  • Guarantor: Provide a guarantor’s letter from a government employee and a permanent resident of the area
  • Legal Status: No legal or criminal charges
  • Age: 18-45 years
  • Note: False information will lead to legal action; former government employees dismissed for forgery cannot apply.

Responsibilities

  • Guard council property and operations
  • Maintain security in assigned areas
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors
