The Commissioner General of Immigration is pleased to announce employment opportunities for Tanzanian youth under the authority granted by Regulation No. 11(1) of the 2018 Immigration Management Regulations. This is your chance to join the Immigration Department as an Immigration Officer.
Requirements for Applicants
Interested candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Be currently unemployed and not have prior employment with any government institution.
- Hold a valid birth certificate.
- Have a National Identification Card (NIDA) or Identification Number issued by NIDA.
- Be physically and mentally fit.
- Have no history of drug use.
- Have no criminal record or involvement in unlawful activities.
- Have no tattoos or visible body markings.
- Be unmarried and without children.
- Age Restrictions:
- For Form Four education: 18–22 years.
- For Form Six education or diploma holders: 18–25 years.
- For Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma holders: 18–30 years.
- Be willing to work in any location within Tanzania.
- Be able to cover all costs related to the recruitment process.
Special Consideration
Priority will be given to applicants with certifications or degrees in fields such as:
- International Languages, Administration, Law, Public Relations, IT, Records Management, Secretarial Work, Accounting, Procurement (registered professionals), Statistics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Mechanics, AC Technology, Cyber Security, Brass Band, and Printing.
Application Process
Applications must be submitted online through the Immigration Department’s official website: https://www.immigration.go.tz.
Application Deadline: Open from November 29, 2024, to December 13, 2024.
Ensure to upload the following documents in PDF format (each not exceeding 300KB):
- A recent passport-size photo (jpg/png format, not exceeding 300KB).
- A handwritten application letter.
- An introduction letter from local government authorities or camp leaders (for JKT/JKU graduates).
- Birth certificate.
- NIDA card or NIDA number for system registration.
- Secondary school certificates (O-Level and A-Level).
- Verified certificates for diplomas, advanced diplomas, or degrees.
- Registration certificates for professional fields requiring such.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Important Notes
- Applications will only be accepted through the specified procedure.
- Providing false documents will result in legal action, including court charges.
- Beware of fraudsters soliciting money or bribes in exchange for employment.
