The Commissioner General of Immigration, exercising the authority granted under Regulation No. 11(1) of the 2018 Immigration Management Regulations, announces new job openings for Immigration Officers. Applications are invited from eligible Tanzanian youth meeting the following qualifications:
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Must be unemployed and not have any prior employment with government institutions.
- Must possess a valid birth certificate.
- Must have a National Identification Card (NIDA) or Identification Number issued by NIDA.
- Must be physically and mentally fit.
- Must not have a history of drug abuse.
- Must have no criminal record or involvement in criminal activities.
- Must have no tattoos or visible body markings.
- Must not be married or have children.
- Age Limits:
- Form Four education: 18–22 years.
- Form Six education or diploma holders: 18–25 years.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma holders: 18–30 years.
- Must be willing to work anywhere in Tanzania.
- Must bear the costs of all processes related to application and recruitment.
Preferred Qualifications
Priority will be given to applicants with diplomas or degrees in the following fields:
- International Languages, Administration, Law, Public Relations, Information Technology, Record Keeping, Secretarial Studies, Accounting, Procurement and Supply (registered professionals), Statistics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Mechanics, Air Conditioning Technology, Cyber Security, Brass Band, and Printing.
How to Apply
All applications must be submitted through the official Immigration Department website: https://www.immigration.go.tz
Application Period: From November 29, 2024, to December 13, 2024.
Applicants must attach the following documents in PDF format (each file must not exceed 300KB):
- Recent passport-size photo (jpg/png format, not exceeding 300KB).
- Handwritten application letter.
- Letter of introduction from the local government authority or camp head (for JKT/JKU graduates).
- Birth certificate.
- National ID card or NIDA number for system registration.
- Secondary education certificates (O-Level and A-Level) for system input.
- Relevant certificates for diploma, advanced diploma, or degree qualifications, verified by respective institutions.
- Professional registration certificates for regulated fields.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Important Notices
- Applications will only be accepted as outlined above.
- Submitting forged documents will result in legal action, including court prosecution.
- Beware of fraudsters who demand money or bribes in exchange for job placement.
