Job Description
The Truck Fleet Operation Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of Bullet Express’ truck fleet. The role includes planning, organizing, and coordinating fleet activities such as maintenance, driver management, route planning, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in fleet management and a deep understanding of the transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Recruit, train, and manage drivers to ensure high safety standards and excellent customer service.
- Plan and optimize routes to reduce operating costs and fuel consumption.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor and control fleet operating costs, including fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
- Track and analyze fleet performance metrics for continuous improvement.
- Implement and utilize fleet management technologies to boost productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in truck fleet management.
- Strong understanding of the transportation industry and relevant regulations.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.
- Willingness to relocate to Arusha.
