Role Overview
As the Tour Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of tour operations in Zanzibar, including excursions, transfers, supply chain management, fleet operations, and cargo logistics. This is a newly created role that offers a chance to shape and enhance operational efficiencies while ensuring top-notch guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop the tour operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Operations Oversight: Oversee excursions and transfers to ensure safety, efficiency, and high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Guest Experience Monitoring: Enhance guest experiences by managing reviews and implementing improvements based on feedback.
- Cost Control: Monitor operational costs and optimize profitability across all activities.
- Fleet Management: Supervise fleet management tasks, including maintenance and documentation.
- Cargo Coordination: Coordinate cargo operations between Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in tour operations, fleet management, or related fields.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record in leadership and logistics operations.
- Language: Fluency in English; Kiswahili is a plus.
