Position Title: Specialist: Network Security
Location: Iringa, Tanzania
Job Description
Role Purpose:
The Specialist in Network Security is responsible for ensuring the security of network and telecom systems, as well as providing security assurance for telecom products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand Planning: Oversee demand planning and forecasting for cybersecurity across current and emerging network technologies to meet future business needs.
- Network Design and Architecture: Lead the design and engineering of networks, ensuring that security baseline requirements are integrated from the outset.
- Security Framework Management: Own and enhance the Network and Telecom Security Framework, ensuring ongoing maturity of cybersecurity baseline controls.
- Analytics Setup: Establish analytics frameworks and tools for mobile network monitoring, including testing and response mechanisms for cybersecurity incidents and threats.
- Implementation Support: Coordinate and support the operational coverage and adequacy of network and telecom-related security controls.
Qualifications
Technical/Professional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Knowledge of telecom technology architectures.
- Strong understanding of key cybersecurity technologies, tools, and general information technologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and risk management frameworks and international security standards.
- Experience with virtualization and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, as well as telecom security testing and benchmarking.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CCIE, CISM, CISA, CISSP).
