Basic Technician Certificates (NTA Level 4)
For those interested in starting with the fundamentals, TICD offers several Basic Technician Certificates:
- Community Development (BTCCD)
- Gender and Community Development (BTCGCD)
- Project Management for Community Development (BTCPMCD)
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- A Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four passes (Grade D or above), excluding religious subjects, OR
- A National Vocational Award Level III accompanied by at least two passes at the Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education.
Technician Certificates (NTA Level 5)
Stepping up from the basics, TICD offers Technician Certificates in:
- Community Development (TCCD)
- Gender and Community Development (TCGCD)
- Project Management for Community Development (TCPMCD)
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- A Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in a related program, with at least four passes at CSEE, excluding religious subjects, OR
- An Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one principal pass and a subsidiary in relevant subjects, excluding religious subjects.
Ordinary Diploma Courses (NTA Level 6)
For those who wish to advance further, TICD offers Ordinary Diplomas in:
- Community Development (ODCD)
- Gender and Community Development (ODGCD)
- Project Management for Community Development (ODPMCD)
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- A Technician Certificate (NTA Level 5) in a related program, with at least four passes at CSEE, excluding religious subjects, OR
- An ACSEE with at least one principal pass and a subsidiary in relevant subjects, excluding religious subjects.
Master’s Degree Programs (NTA Level 9)
For professionals aiming for the highest academic qualifications, TICD offers Master’s Degrees in:
- Community Development (MCD)
- Project Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (MPPME)
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree with at least a lower second class for classified awards or an average of B grade for unclassified awards in relevant or related fields, OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree of pass grade with a postgraduate diploma in a relevant or related field, OR
- An Advanced Diploma from a recognized institute or equivalent qualifications.
How to Apply
TICD has streamlined the application process through their Online Application System (OAS). Prospective students can apply through the TICD website and pay the necessary application fees as per the program requirements. It’s important to follow all application steps carefully and select the appropriate campus—either the Tengeru Main Campus or the TICD Arusha Town Centre at Mwanama-Kijenge.
