Job Description
We are seeking experienced attorneys from Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gambia, and Ivory Coast to create detailed, step-by-step guides for foreigners looking to relocate to these countries. These guides will cover a range of topics including immigration, business registration, taxation, crime reporting, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and compile detailed information on immigration law, including visa types, residency permits, and citizenship requirements.
- Provide a step-by-step guide on registering a business, including necessary documentation, legal requirements, and relevant government agencies.
- Outline tax obligations for foreigners, including how to pay taxes and any available tax incentives.
- Detail the process for reporting a crime and the legal rights of crime victims.
- Explain marijuana laws and the legal consequences associated with its use.
- Guide marrying an African national, including legal processes and steps to obtain citizenship.
- Create a comprehensive guide on purchasing real estate, including restrictions and legal requirements for foreigners.
- Offer advice on investing in local businesses, including due diligence and legal considerations.
Requirements:
- Must be a licensed attorney based in one of the specified sub-Saharan countries.
- Strong knowledge of local immigration, business, tax, and criminal laws.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and practically.
- Experience in creating legal guides or similar content is a plus.
Deliverables:
- A comprehensive, step-by-step practical guide for foreigners relocating to the specified country, covering all mentioned topics.
- The guide should be thorough, including addresses, documents required, and phone numbers, approximately 15-20 pages in length, formatted professionally, and include relevant legal forms or templates.
- The guide should be written in English and tailored for an audience with no prior legal knowledge.
