Position Overview
The HR/People Operations Manager will play a critical role in supporting the expansion of Educate! in Tanzania. Reporting to the Managing Director, this position involves collaborating with the Tanzanian Leadership Team to foster a culturally aligned and highly engaged operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Culture Building: Develop strategies to translate Educate!’s strong culture to the Tanzanian team and create a welcoming onboarding experience for new hires.
- Systems Implementation: Set up employee data in the HRIS (BambooHR) and ensure accurate data maintenance, audits, and compliance with Tanzanian regulations.
- Administrative Support: Maintain employee contracts, manage payroll accuracy, and ensure compliance with worker’s compensation and other legal requirements.
- Field Team Recruitment: Develop and implement recruitment processes for field team positions, maintaining a database for short-term roles.
- Risk Management: Analyze HR risks and implement measures to mitigate potential issues.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in an administrative role, with at least 3 years in HR.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and high attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing needs.
- Confidentiality: Exceptional judgment in maintaining confidentiality regarding employee information.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in using HR software and tools.
