Position Title: HR Business Partner
Location: Southern Zone, Southern Tanzania
Job Purpose:
To align business objectives with employees and management within designated business units, serving as a consultant to management on HR-related issues.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain an effective understanding of the zone’s financial position, midterm plans, culture, and competitive landscape.
  • Partner with the business to develop workforce planning and strategies.
  • Guide business leaders on interpreting and executing the people agenda.
  • Identify and monitor talent and manage succession planning.
  • Collaborate across HR functions to deliver value-added services that align with the organization’s business objectives.
  • Offer day-to-day performance guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Work closely with zonal management and employees to enhance work relationships, boost morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Ensure quality and compliance in the performance management process, fostering a performance-driven culture.
  • Support line managers in identifying training needs and implementing the training framework.
  • Proactively advise on HR policy changes based on business needs.
  • Lead change management initiatives, providing advice and tools to stakeholders during organizational changes.
  • Ensure HR processes function effectively within the operating model and remain aligned with business needs.
  • Provide HR policy guidance, monitor compliance, and handle staff grievances, initiating disciplinary procedures when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Science, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or HR certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Human Resources, including HR business partnering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in banking or financial institutions is preferred.
