Position Overview:
Mkuki Na Nyota Publishers is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to create and manage print, photography, video, and web/interactive designs that align with our strategic business goals and maintain brand consistency. This role involves overseeing design projects from concept to delivery and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Reporting to: Senior Graphic Designer (Interim Production Coordinator)
Key Responsibilities:
- Create cover designs, illustrations, and layouts for both print and digital publications.
- Support the design team in formatting and finalizing book covers, promotional materials, and social media content.
- Revise and adjust existing designs as needed.
- Develop content for social media platforms.
- Collaborate with editorial and production teams to ensure alignment with project vision.
- Maintain design templates and style guides for consistency across projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality design work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Illustration, or a related field focused on print and digital media.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- A portfolio showcasing creative design work (academic or freelance experience accepted).
- Basic skills in motion graphics, animation, and digital photography are advantageous.
- A passion for books and reading is a plus.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and skilled in problem-solving.
- Experience in creating content for social media.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
- Experience in coordinating graphics for publication projects and liaising with printing and production teams.
