Are you ready to kick-start your career in finance? Join PSI Tanzania as a Finance Assistant (Intern). Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting financial operations in our Dar es Salaam office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of Bills for supplier invoices in QBE within 24 hours of receipt, ensuring EFD receipts are attached.
- Proactive follow-up with admin for timely submission of invoices to avoid month-end pressure.
- Preparation of monthly Accounts Payable schedules by the 5th of each month.
- Accurate monthly amortization of Prepaid Expenses and proper filing of related documents.
- Preparation of Journal Entry vouchers for review and approval by the 27th of each month.
- Timely scanning and uploading of vouchers and documents to SharePoint after month-end.
- Verification of completeness and accuracy of donor billing for inventory.
- Daily Mobile Money reconciliation and follow-up on failed payments.
- Preparation and initiation of monthly Withholding Taxes payment to TRA.
- Timely processing of invoices for approved sales orders and proper filing.
- Submission of bi-annual WHT tax returns and monthly SDL returns.
- Coordination of monthly cycle stock counts and reconciliation with QBE records.
- Preparation of monthly inventory schedules to ensure accurate stock quantities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of working experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting System is an advantage.
