Competency Framework and Succession Planning Process at Fairtrade Africa
Job Type: Full-time
1.0 Aim and Objectives
Fairtrade Africa (FTA) is seeking a comprehensive behavioral and leadership competency framework and technical skills profiles. This framework will support talent management initiatives, including:
- Identifying and assessing the quality of internal candidates.
- Determining future experiences and development actions needed for potential leaders.
- Creating a robust succession management process and pipeline.
2.0 Deliverables and Success Measures
- Competency Identification: Identify and communicate behavioral, leadership, and technical skills requirements.
- Skills Mapping: Map competencies and skills for identified successors at the Director, Head of Region, and Manager/Team Leader levels, noting available skills and gaps.
- Integration: Fully integrate competencies and behaviors into succession planning, career development, and learning and development processes.
- Succession Plans: Develop succession plans for key positions including Directors, Heads of Region, and Manager/Team Leaders.
- Development Plans: Create individual learning and development plans to address capability gaps and support internal staff skill acquisition.
- Selection and Promotion: Ensure internal staff are selected, promoted, and developed based on demonstrated behaviors.
3.0 Duration
The assignment should be completed within 1.5 to 2 months after the contract is signed.
4.0 Submission Guidelines
Submit a proposal including the following six sections:
- Organization Profile: An overview of the organization.
- Project Managers: A list of project managers assigned to this project.
- Financial Proposal: Quotation for the provision of services.
- Additional Information: Any additional information demonstrating added value for Fairtrade Africa.
- References: Three references (name and contact) from organizations with similar services undertaken in the last three years.
- Certification: Copy of Certificate of Registration and payment terms.
