Job Description:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, and supporting the company’s logistics operations. This role involves handling tasks such as voucher creation, financial reporting, and statutory filings to ensure smooth financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vouchers for payments (cash and bank).
- Manage sub-contractor payments and ensure timely settlement.
- Track and report on DR-Congo costs, maintaining daily records.
- Manage LPO approvals and group messaging for related communications.
- Verify abnormal costs and overhead expenses.
- Maintain receipts and documentation for the fuel station, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
- File PAYE, SDL, WCF, NSSF, and VAT monthly, ensuring all statutory payments are done on time to avoid penalties.
- Organize and file purchase, sales, and statutory documents.
- Prepare official monthly sales reports for Kongowe and EFD machine sales, including bank inflows and outflows.
- Generate monthly purchase reports and submit them to the Managing Director.
- Record and manage the procurement of items such as insurance, road tolls, tires, trailers, fuel, etc., ensuring accurate expenditure reporting.
Requirements:
- Experience with financial software like Tally.
- Knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations (PAYE, SDL, WCF, NSSF, VAT).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle procurement tasks and manage receipts effectively.
