Job Description
The Truck Fleet Operation Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of Bullet Express’ truck fleet. This includes planning, organizing, and coordinating fleet activities such as maintenance, driver management, route planning, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fleet management and a strong understanding of the transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Recruit, train, and manage drivers to ensure high standards of safety, performance, and customer service.
- Plan and optimize routes to reduce fuel consumption and operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor and control fleet operating costs, including fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
- Track and analyze fleet performance metrics for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on the latest fleet management technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in truck fleet management.
- Strong understanding of transportation industry regulations.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.
- Willingness to relocate to Arusha.
