DSJ | Dar es Salaam School of Journalism is a fully accredited college established in 1998 and registered by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) on the 4th of April 2003 bearing registration number REG/PWF/012. DSJ is the second private institution in Tanzania to introduce training in Journalism. The school operates in adherence to its motto: Media for Democracy. The motto embraces the educational philosophy of liberating the youth through the provision of quality TET that meets media labor market demands, in order to enhance democracy for participating in the national development goals and eradication of poverty.

The Applicant must have completed form VI (ACSEE) with at least one (1) Principal and one (1) Subsidiary, or one must have pursued a Certificate in Journalism or a related program with at least a GPA of 2.0 from a Government recognized Institution.
