Ardhi Institute Morogoro

Ardhi Institute Morogoro; Ardhi Institute Morogoro, a government-owned institution, has a rich history that dates back to 1958. Ardhi Institute Morogoro Originally established as a Survey Training center, the institute aimed to train land surveying technicians through a six-month program. Initially located in the Mgulani area of Dar es Salaam, the center underwent significant changes over the years, both in its curriculum and location.

Historical Evolution

In 1966, the course structure was redefined to include one year of theoretical study followed by one year of industrial training, with the entry qualification being completion of Form Four. This restructuring led to the relocation of the center to Observation Hill/Makongo area, which is now the site of Ardhi University (ARU). This transformation marked a significant milestone in the institute’s development, setting the foundation for its current status as a premier institution for geomatics and urban planning education.
